The Forest City Film Festival welcomes you to the first ever Ontario Screen Creators Conference from October 22nd to 24th! With new COVID-19 cases still present, we understand that not everyone will be able or comfortable to attend the conference in-person this year. With this in mind, we will be offering hybrid seminars and select seminars online and in person!
How to Attend In Person Events
The first step to attending our In person seminars is to head over to our online store and purchase your tickets. We offer a variety of bundles and options so you can cater your OSCC weekend to your preference! Once you have purchased your tickets you can expect a confirmation email headed your way.
Straight away, you can register ticket to the name and email of the attendee(s), then download the PDF file, right on the order confirmation page or you can do the same registration and download process through your email at your convenience.
The specific details to each seminar will be provided on the ticket, which you can either print out or show on your phone in order to enter the event. The majority of the OSCC seminars will have their doors open thirty minutes prior to the event itself, so feel free to be there early and beat the crowds!
After you have shown your ticket at the door you will be asked for proof of double vaccination and from there it’s smooth sailing; you’re headed into the venue to find your seat!
Your safety is our top priority, so many protocols have been put in place to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 so that you need not worry in the case you choose to visit us in person, including social distancing in the venue, extensive cleaning protocols, and the availability of hand sanitizer across our venues. Furthermore, access to an OSCC venue will only be allowed upon proof of either being double vaccinated, or by having proof of a negative COVID test result within the last 48 hours. In addition to this mandate, anyone attending the event will be required to wear a mask at all times. How to Attend Online Events
The first step to attending our online seminars is to head over to our online store and purchase your tickets. We offer a variety of bundles and options so you can cater your OSCC weekend to your preference – including a virtual weekend pass to all of our online events for a 50% discount! Once you have purchased your tickets you can expect a confirmation email headed your way.
We have partnered with the platform Mien Tzu to bring you our online seminars. This virtual event platform will require you to make an account prior to accessing the seminar. You can register your new Mien Tzu account with your email, Facebook, Google or LinkedIn account!
Once you have registered you’re all set to receive the event link and one-time access code to your upcoming seminars. You can expect this link to be sent to your email approximately thirty minutes prior to the seminars set start time that very day!
Once you’ve received your email, you have two ways of accessing your seminar:
1) Click the link sent directly to your email account to be transported right into the live event
2) Head on over to your new Mien Tzu account and hit the “ join events button”. When you are on your events page you will have to enter the code you receive in the email, and that will log you into the live event!
Now all that’s left is to join your seminar and learn, connect, and create alongside other industry experts and amateurs alike!
