This year the OSCC is back with both classic and revamped industry sessions covering a wider variety of topics for all creatives. OSCC 2022 is offering more networking events, both during the day and on the weekend evenings for whichever suits you best or join us for them all – that’s what we’ll be doing! We just released our tickets this week so keep reading for your first peak at our event line up this year…
Get Ready For Your Close Up
Wire your brains with coffee AND knowledge at Breakfast mentoring. The latest networking event that combines the opportunity for one on one connection with our experts with the power coffee. Get access to exclusive individual conversations with industry experts – each from different corners of the industry.

This year the OSCC is also offering 3 Micro Meeting sessions; perfect for those who are always on the go or those who can always find time for conversation. Three 30 minute meetings all in one place over the span of 1 hour 30 minutes allowing you to engage in conversations between both experts and peers on hot topics taking the film industry by storm.
Premiering at the OSCC
The 2022 conference is premiering new industry sessions for ALL creatives within the scope of film and the realm of digital with events: Storytelling in Gaming & Film and Interactive Gaming: Making & Distribution Licensing. Both sessions help bridge the gap between the similarities of gaming and film, while guiding new creators throughout the ups and downs of both sectors through the unique lens of one another.
The new 2022 Music Video Panel is a much needed addition to this conversation regarding all creatives within the industry! The event dives headfirst into the world of music synchronization featuring panel discussions, a workshop, pitch session and speed dating with industry leading professionals.

Staying true to the OSCC roots of nurturing the Ontario filmmaking community we are back with three additional industry sessions specifically for filmmakers offering knowledge for each different stage of your career!
Figuring out Film Unions is curated to help you educate yourself about the top unions in the industry and how you can start working professionally on the next blockbuster movie. If you’re onto your next steps, Finding Your Audience was created for those who have a vision but need to find a means to an end; come to this panel to hear what a group of industry veterans, with many projects under their belts, say about finding your audience.

Come Get Your Money! This new panel offers a creative way for you to bring your latest projects to life, seasoned experts will give you all the ways to get your project up off the ground with out of the box thinking.
Rewind & rePLAY
Of course we have to bring back the classic Media Buyers Panel to the OSCC, welcoming Bell, CBC, and Corus to conversations regarding what content they are looking for; plus tips to move your own project forward. Our popular Making Of… panel will also be featured at this year’s OSCC; stay tuned to which 2022 FCFF films will be featured for a peek behind the scenes. Immersive Documentary will be joining us again through a fresh lens as panelist discuss the landscape of Immersive Virtual Reality 3D documentary filmmaking!
Panels and Workshops are all fun but the games happen at our events for PLAY! OSCC 2022 is bringing back the Screen Creatives Networking Party and a new Locations Happy Hour networking events this year. These events are happening on the Friday and Saturday of OSCC weekend, so don’t worry about your weekend plans, we’ve got you covered!
Project Pitch is also coming back this year! If you’re a creator make sure you check it out, applications for Canada’s largest pitch prize are due September 30th.
