What is The Educators Portal?

An accessible and affordable space for informative virtual seminars and resources to help Southwestern Ontario school boards teach students the fundamental skills of digital storytelling for class and future career opportunities. Filmmaking is a vehicle to allow students to put into practice: problem solving, innovation, self-directed learning, collaboration, global citizenship, and critical thinking skills. With our membership, we can help educators celebrate, inspire, and promote the future storytellers of Ontario.

In this guide, educators can find information about various Forest City Film Festival curated film programs that are designed for high school students. There are a variety of different films from both our main festival and our Forest City Youth Film Festival, and we have tried to identify which subjects may align with the screenings.
