Home Plate: Labatt Memorial Park

Home Plate, a short doc on Labatt Memorial Park, the world's oldest baseball park, where London Majors have called Home for 98 years! Labatt Memorial Park features in many Londoners’ childhood memories, and Home Plate shines a light on the magic of the park that goes virtually unknown among the non-London locals.

Home Plate is a short documentary about the oldest operating baseball park in the entire world, located in London, Ontario. The park is also home to the London Majors, the local baseball club that has been playing there since 1925. They had back-to-back IBL (Intercounty Baseball League) championship wins in 2021 and 2022.

This documentary highlights heritage and sports history, with archival footage and interviews with Tourism London and the London Majors. The beautiful aerial shots of the park are appreciative of the landscaping and facilities management work that goes into preserving the wonder of the park. Home Plate truly expresses filmmaker Brad Spencer’s love for Labatt Memorial Park and his London pride.
