The Horseman

A veteran paramedic in beautiful Banff, Alberta shares his passion for horses, and his efforts to preserve horse culture through his work with local youth. The 2-minute and 24-second film features beautiful aerial scenes near the National Park and intricate visual details that reveal the relationship between man and horse. The project, filmed by John Bestfather, Marie France L'Ecuyer and Colin Field, resulted from a 48-hour film challenge for the Adventure Filmmaker's Workshop at the Banff Center for Arts and Creativity. The three battled logistical issues to create a beautiful, concise, informative documentary featuring Jay Anderson.
