Description: This short film shares the story of Layla Black on her path to reclaim her Mohawk identity. As a generational survivor of residential schools, they took her culture from her, but watch her story as she takes it back.

SWO Connection: Coming from Six Nations of the Grand River territory, the Mohawk tribe is deeply connected to the land and the water. This film shows that connection’s resilience through colonial trauma.
