Viking

Viking 600 900 Forest City Film Festival

Science Fiction/Drama, Feature Narrative, Best of the World Fests

A story of obsession and ambition, similar to films such as Black Swan or Whiplash, but with a bit of a warmer heart. Viking is Canadian cinema on a scale you’ve never seen. Based on a real life experiment run by NASA that put 5 people together in isolation for over a year to see how a manned mission to Mars in a confined space may make astronauts behave. Viking takes that concept and runs with it, exploring the human condition and what it means to dream, while dealing with the crushing reality that sometimes, dreams are best to stay dreams.
