Open Roles:

  • The mandate of this role is to support the festival in achieving its yearly goals of attendance and audience engagement. Under the guidance of the Executive Director, and working collaboratively with other staff, the marketing coordinator will work on the digital presence of the festival. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the festival’s calendar of native and paid social media, maintaining the festival’s website, and providing design and implementation assistance on ticketing. 

    Responsibilities:

    This role is responsible for deploying the digital tactics for 3 arms of our festival: the FCFF, OSCC and OYFF

    • Under the direction of festival leadership and Marketing Manager, supporting marketing initiatives in all digital spaces such as web and social media
    • Assist in the creation and deployment of digital assets such as newsletter, social media, and web content, on WordPress, and social media platforms
    • Web updates and designing web pages on WordPress and other platforms
    • Ensuring SEO on all digital spaces
    • Supervising a group of marketing interns to assist with the building of social media content and other initiatives
    • Providing graphics and selecting images for promotional materials
    • Coordinating photography at the festivalCreating materials for printing and displays

    This is a full time contract position from May 11 to November 8th at $22/hour for 30 hours a week. Hybrid work environment, with some days required in our downtown London offices.

    Must be an eligible candidate under the Canada Summer Jobs program:

  • The mandate of this role is to lead the festival in achieving our yearly goals of attendance and audience engagement. Reporting to the Executive Director and leading the Digital Marketing Coordinator, this role will collaborate with staff to coordinate non-social media aspects of our marketing plan. Responsibilities include securing digital media buys, issuing press releases, coordinating radio and TV promotions, and overseeing outdoor marketing.

    Responsible for the non-social media tactics for the FCFF, OSCC and OYFF:

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and secure digital media buys with online media outlets
    • Initiate and coordinate a calendar of Radio and TV promotions
    • Work with digital marketing team to ensure coordinated implementation of marketing plan
    • Issue press releases to enhance festival visibility
    • Oversee outdoor marketing initiatives (street flags, billboards etc.)
    • Coordinate all onsite marketing pieces at festival (banners, signage etc)
    • Report on the budget for relevant areas
    • Manage the festival’s newsletter and increase subscriptions and engagement
    • Manage the writing of engaging blog posts for targeted audience groups to support the digital marketing
    • Supervise the marketing interns along with other team members.
    • Support the outreach team to engage audiences directly with relevant events
    • Designing graphic materials in Canva as needed
    • Excellent recording of stats to ease reporting on success of initiatives

    This is a full time contract position from June 1st to November 1st at $22/hour for 30 hours a week. Hybrid work environment, with some days required in our downtown London offices.

  • The goal of this role is to build relationships and provide a positive point of contact for two pivotal groups for the festival: new audiences, and program partners. This role will engage communities in the festival’s programs and messaging as well as ensure the participation of key organizations at the festival.

    Responsibilities are under two headings:

    1) Outreach

    • Under direction from the Marketing Manager, undertaking activities to directly promote festival activities to specific groups
    • Leading up to the festival, leading a group of interns and volunteers in communicating with these groups via email, newsletter content and follow-ups to ensure participation
    • Identifying and scheduling speaking engagements for the Managing Director and Executive Director at the identified groups locations
    • Administrating field trips for youth or other groups at the festival
    • Supported by Managing Director and Marketing Manager, organizing and running evening summer screenings to promote the festival to the public in the offseason
    • Adding event listings to social media and partner websites

    2) Partnerships

    • Led by the Managing Director, assist in the tracking of sponsorship relationships by updating calendars and spreadsheets and providing follow-up on key tasks (reports, funding requests, meetings)
    • Stewarding the engagement of screening partners to ensure a positive experience and full participation
    • Communicate with partners to engage their staff and community members in the festival’s event.

    This is a full time contract position from June 1st to November 15th at $18/hour for 30 hours a week. Hybrid work environment, with some days required in our downtown London offices.
