ISO Project

A Music Video Production Incubator for Artists of Colour in London & SWO Region

The Forest City Film Festival is thrilled to partner with the London Music Office and Zahra Habib to present the ISO Project, a multidimensional program that provides creative opportunities, support, and expertise to musical artists of colour based in London Ontario. The ISO Project supports artists at every step of the music video process. The program matches artists with a comprehensive and experienced music video production team that will work together to plan, storyboard, film, edit, produce, and distribute a music video.

We are proud to have experienced videographers, editors, technicians from the London region on the production team, as well as access to various creative filming spaces throughout the Forest City. The application process includes an online form, but selections are ultimately decided through consultations between the artists and a Selections Committee. Submissions will be narrowed down to a short list, who will participate in this consultative process.

Eligible musical artists must identify as part of a racialized group, and show proof of residency in London. Bands or groups are welcome to apply, with at least 1 member of the group having residency in London. Applicants must include a finished, recorded song in digital format (mp3 or wav only) in their application, and while ideas for a video concept are encouraged, it is not necessary to be considered for selection.

More info about submissions and dates to be released in the coming weeks. Stay tuned at fcff.ca and londonmusicoffice.ca, and follow @fcfilmfestival and @ldnmusicoffice on social media for updates.
