Adam Caplan

Governance Committee Chair, Acclaimed Film Producer
Over his two-decade career, Adam Caplan has held roles as Creative Director (Video & UXD) for digital signage pioneer EK3, Executive Site Producer at hsn.com in St. Petersburg, Florida, and has lectured on e-commerce strategy at Western University for over two decades. Prior to that, Adam lived in Los Angeles, where he worked as a consultant in emerging media for agencies and studios.
Adam recently concluded a 3-year term on the Board of Directors of WebSeries Canada, and a 6-year term as a Director on the Board of Ontario Creates (formerly The Ontario Media Development Corporation). He previously served as Chair of the City of London’s Screen-Based Industry Task Force and on the Boards of London’s own Grand Theatre and Museum London, founding and chairing two committees during his six-year term. He co-founded the UnLondon Digital Media Association, and has sat on London’s Mayor’s Economic Council and Emerging Leaders’ Sustainability Advisory Committee.
A voting member of both the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television and the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, Adam believes stories created here can and should be heard around the world.
Adam graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a BFA in Live Action Film & Video, and earned a post-graduate diploma in screenwriting and dramatic theory from the Interlochen Arts Academy. He is proud to call London, Ontario his home.
